A friend, a sidekick and small attainable goals. Being overweight for the last 15-20 years has been a slower gradual thing. I just accepted it for way to long. They make cute enough clothes to still be heavy and fashionable so why even bother...right ??? Well I got sick of trying to put on a smile when I was really frustrated about certain parts of my body. It's all about the stomach. Let me say for the record I DO NOT need a 6-pack BUT I just want to buy jeans off the rack in about a size 10 or so....I don't want a MUFFIN TOP. OMG I don't want the fat around my stomach referred to a pastry !!!!!
Taking the Quickerfit Journey has been great. I have someone who's guiding me to be healthier, more fit, have endurance and range of motion. He's working WITH me and my 42 year old body. I have a "trick knee" and instead of going HARD CORE and injuring the knee more we are working up to more balance, flexibility without much pain. The word about Quickerfit is starting to get out. It's all about my favorite healthy foods, weight training and walking for me. It's all stuff that I can do at home and not need a GYM. It does take a bit of planning for me with the food. I'm a BUSY mom and always on the go so I have to plan out, pack the right snacks and be organized.
I'm taking baby steps and taking it day by day...week by week. The results are in and I'm already feeling so much better and have dropped two jean sizes. Now the jeans I'm wearing now are a BIT snug in the waist but that's okay....give me two more weeks and they won't be. It's overwhelming to think I have to try and maintain my body for the rest of my life. It's like "HEY WALK THROUGH THAT BRICK WALL" Can you walk through a brick wall ? No, so you just kinda of give up. It's all about taking it day by day....and if you have a friend helping you along.....it's even better !!!!
