Steph 101

1. Crystal Light is my friend

2. I'm 42

3. I love my dogs. The cats are just alright but the dogs stole my heart !

4. I love clothes and it took a good long hard look in the mirror to realize it wasn't working

5. I hate winter

6. I set up a little GYM in my garage and use my own two feet to walk after every weight workout

7. I can't wait for nicer weather so I can swim in my pool and swim laps at the local pool.

8. At my last Doctor appointment my blood pressure was up and I take a pill once a day to control it. With diet and exercise I will be able to throw those pills out eventually !!

9. My jeans are baggy now

10. I have several goals and some of them are mini goals.

11. I LOVE Starbucks and am now making friends with the Tall Skinny Latte !

12. I like how my body feels when I'm done with my weights and walk. I feel each day like I was able to accomplish something.

13. Any busy mom can do the weight workout. It's the equivalent of about 4-6 music songs.

14. Oatmeal and Splenda taste really good together.

15. I have a husband and two busy kids.

16. Did I say how much I love my dogs ?

17. Someone called me the "Queen of Facebook" the other day and that might just be right.

18. Quickerfit is awesome !

19. My blood work also came back "pre-diabetic" and my dad is diabetic and I hope with diet and exercise to avoid that path in my life.

20. My new life started on January 2ND and so far I have lost 16 pounds and several inches already.

Hi,
Congrats on changing your health. My experience with pre-diabetes is that it is the artificial sweeteners that made me insulin resistant. The body doesn't know what to do with those chemicals so they remain in the blood stream, elevating your blood sugar. I use stevia and it tastes great and does not screw-up my blood sugar/glucose. Any health food store carries it. Believe me, Crystal Light is not your friend nor is the skinny latte. Green tea is a great alternative too and it has weigh loss properties.
